Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about using Newton safely and confidently.

What is Newton Learning?

Newton Learning is an educator workspace with 91 current tools for literacy, numeracy, writing, language learning, classroom management, lesson planning, progress monitoring, and special education documentation.

How should I get started?

Add your students first, then open Features and choose one tool that matches today's goal. Saving work to a student profile makes later reports and progress views more useful.

What is the difference between Features and Student Features?

Features contains educator-facing planning, documentation, assessment, and classroom tools. Student Features contains interactive activities designed for learners to use directly with teacher guidance.

Where are planning and classroom tools?

Open Features and choose Educator Workspace for Data & Compliance, Classroom Management, Lesson Planning, Media Studio, and Fun & Drama tools.

Is student data private?

Newton uses protected accounts and student-specific records. Follow your school or district's privacy rules, limit personally identifiable information to what is necessary, and use nicknames or anonymized labels when a tool recommends them.

Should I review AI-generated content?

Yes. AI output is a draft and should always be reviewed for accuracy, appropriateness, bias, student fit, and alignment with your district's requirements before it is taught, printed, or shared.

Can I use Newton with small groups?

Yes. Create reusable groups in Students, then use them in supported intervention and peer-talk activities. Many tools also include Present Mode for teacher-led small-group or whole-class use.

Can I print or save resources?

Many generators include print, PDF, copy, download, or Save to Library actions. Available actions appear inside each tool after the resource is created or completed.
